It's All Yours Prophetic Painting

Our family feels a real connection to South Buckinghamshire and its towns and villages. We came to this area because a friend lived nearby, and over the years we've established roots in the local community and enjoyed joining cross-church voluntary groups serving High Wycombe and the surrounding areas. for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:7

Like many other Christians in the area, we've taken a turn in covering an hour or two of the Wycombe 24/7 prayer rota, usually at night when the house was quiet. God has often spoken during these times and for me sometimes a picture comes to mind. On this occasion I was thinking about the Wycombe valley and the poplar trees that stand at the Eastern end, visualising our church community as the spiritual guardian at this location. A quick sketch painting followed, to capture the scene.

In this picture the wings of the Spirit hover over the valley, with Wycombe in the distance, and the churches on the heights around the town represented as signal fires, indicating that the Spirit is active, covering and observing. I often pray and paint with a single song playing in the background. This time it was a song called 'Yours' by Steven Curtis Chapman:

This picture is a just a quick sketch, to capture what God was saying that night. We continue to love and pray for our town, for in its welfare we find our welfare.
